Another entry from Truth Inc.’s self-contained catalog: written, arranged and produced start to finish by Jon Nettlesbey and Terry Coffey, with the same core band of Horace “Bokie” Coleman, Dean Pleasants and Robert “Baba K” Burns II, and lead vocals shared across the record by Derald Conway and Jimmy Demers, mixed by Alan Meyerson and mastered by Brian Gardner at Bernie Grundman’s.

It’s another data point in the same story running through this corner of the archive: Nettlesbey, Coffey and Coleman had already proven the formula two years earlier on Howard Hewett’s Number 2 R&B hit “Show Me”, before deciding to keep the songs - and the spotlight - for themselves.
