The playful title suggests a livelier corner of Truth Inc. than the album’s ballads, but the credits run identical to the rest of the record: Jon Nettlesbey and Terry Coffey wrote, arranged and produced it, Horace “Bokie” Coleman and Dean Pleasants play guitar, and Robert “Baba K” Burns II holds down drums and percussion, cut across a run of LA sessions at studios including Larrabee and Skip Saylor’s.

It’s the same westcoast-soul polish Nettlesbey and Coffey first built two years earlier on Howard Hewett’s “Show Me” - Coffey on keyboards, Coleman on guitar and fretless bass, the identical production DNA, just credited to the writers themselves this time. Anyone who likes “Show Me” is really hearing this same team at work.
